Representative Director
E. Takashi Norris
Takashi Norris (Tak) has been the founder and President of PLATINUM since its incorporation. He has been involved in commercial and residential real estate leasing/buying/management, in addition to real estate investments in the last 12 years in Tokyo. In 2007/8, Tak was successful in putting together over 4 Billion JPY worth of property transactions. In addition to working with onshore clients and investors, Tak has also advised and completed acquisitions of properties in Japan for overseas investors in the United States, Europe and Asia. Prior to setting up PLATINUM, Tak worked with the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, serving as a liaison for executives of both Japanese and foreign multinationals, brokering business deals for both the private and public sectors.
Tak is bicultural and bilingual and is a native of New York City, graduating from The Dalton School with a B.A. in International Relations from Colgate University. Tak is married with two children and interests are reading, bicycling, fishing and martial arts.
Managing Director
Hideaki Fukushima
Hideaki Fukushima joined PLATINUM in 2003. He is the registered real-estate transaction manager and is involved in every real estate contract at PLATINUM Hideaki brings 18 years of experience in the real estate business and mainly handles purchase and sales, development, research, and appraisal.
Hideaki is a native of Aomori prefecture and received his bachelors in Tokai University where he has also received a black belt in Taido a type of martial arts.
Commercial Director
Kevyn Johnson
Kevyn Johnson specializes in commercial relocation projects at PLATINUM for international firms and retail businesses leasing or purchasing space in Central Tokyo. Prior to his 2007 move to PLATINUM Kevyn spent four years in SME office design and fit-out and is co-chair of the Architecture, Construction and Real Estate (ACRE) committee for the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ).
An 18 year veteran of Tokyo, bilingual and bicultural, Kevyn has also written two handbooks on English language use, and continues to write in his spare time.
Residential Leasing Director
Tomoko Kasuya
After three years experience as a real estate agent, Tomoko Kasuya heads up the High End Residential Leasing department at PLATINUM. Born and raised in Saitama, Japan, Tomoko came to PLATINUM after earning her Marketing and Business Administration degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Bilingual and bicultural, she loves dogs, traveling, yoga, and excels in her chosen sport of swimming in her spare time.
Sales Director
Bobby Dozier
Bobby Dozier is a native of Tulsa, OK and received a bachelor of science degree with honors in advertising from Oklahoma State University. With a wealth of Japan experience (over 20 years) being bilingual and coming from a bicultural background (American father, Japanese mother), Dozier has extensive experience in sales and marketing and has worked for Frito-Lay, Inc, Crown Relo, Allied Pickfords, and was co-founder of a Japan-based Internet startup.
Bobby principally focuses on buy consulting for both investors and those looking to buy a residence and is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Oklahoma.
Financial Analysis/Technology Director
Murray Gilbert
Murray Gilbert is the Senior Analyst of the team. He is responsible for developing financial models and comparing property investment scenarios. Previously, Mr. Gilbert has served in various financial and service firms in Tokyo including Capital Servicing - a real estate advisory and investment firm as well as ValueCommerce, and General Electric where he was responsible for building and supporting financial models and IT systems.
A Japanese/English bilingual Murray has been living and working in Japan for over 10 years. Prior to coming to Japan, he worked for an Australian software house with local and international clients. He completed his Bachelor of Science in computer science at Macquarie University.
